Betta Fish Age Calculator
How This Betta Fish Age Calculator Works?
Please note that, this calculator can no way give you the exact age of your betta fish. It is almost impossible to determine the exact age of a betta without proper equipment and experienced vet’s help.
However, this calculator is designed to provide you with an estimation of the betta’s age.
Generally, a breeder sells a betta to the pet stores when it is at least 3 months old. So, the betta in your aquarium can not be younger than 3 months.
Also, a betta fish generally stays in a pet store for 6 to 9 months.
I have taken both of these assumptions into consideration to give an approximate age of the betta.
If the betta is living with you for 1 month, then it should be at least (3+6+1) = 10 months old at the minimum and (3+9+1) = 13 months old at the maximum.
Betta Fish Minimum Tank Size Calculator
How This Betta Fish Minimum Tank Size Calculator Works?
First of all, this calculator will give you the minimum required tank size. You can certainly choose a larger tank than what the calculator tells you. However, do not go for a smaller tank.
For small betta breeds (Halfmoon, Fullmoon, Veiltail, Crowntail, Dumbo), it is recommended to allocate at least 5 gallons tank size for each betta. For example, if you are keeping 2 female Dumbo bettas, the minimum tank size will be 10 gallons.
For large or fast swimming betta breeds (Plakat, King), it is recommended to allocate at least 10 gallons tank size for each betta. For example, if you are keeping 2 female Plakat bettas, the minimum tank size will be 20 gallons.
If you decide to keep small tank mates with the betta, the calculator will add additional 5 gallons size for the tank mates.
So, if you are keeping 1 Veiltail betta fish with some snails and guppies, the minimum tank size will be (5+5) = 10 gallons.

Betta Tank Water Volume Calculator
How This Betta Tank Water Volume Calculator Works?
The calculator works based on the following unit conversion rules:
- 1 Cubic Inches = 0.004329 US Liquid Gallons
- 1 Cubic Centimeters = 0.000264172 US Liquid Gallons
- 1 US Liquid Gallon = 3.78541 Liters = 0.832674 UK/Imperial Liquid Gallons
The result is rounded up to 2 decimal points for easier understanding.
Betta Tank Electricity Cost Calculator
How This Betta Tank Electricity Cost Calculator Works?
First, the calculator takes an input of how much power the betta tank consumes in kW. Then it takes the number of hours the betta tank runs and the electricity cost per kWh.
Then, the calculator finds the betta tank electricity cost using the following formula
Betta Tank Electricity Cost Per Day = Total Power Consumed By Betta Tank * Number of Hours Betta Tank Runs * Electricity Cost Per kWh.
You can check out the latest electricity cost per kWh from U.S. BUREAU OF LABOR STATISTICS.
